Managing Director & Principal of Consultant

Joyce Chin is the founder of Brain Activation Sdn Bhd. Being a mother of 2 children, she found her passion in parenting and educating children. Her experience in Dermatoglyphics has provided her with the opportunity to discover and embrace human potential. In 2011, she discovered the amazing science of Neurofeedback, which inspired her to help children improve their learning ability by unleashing their brain potential. In addition, she has helped many children with developmental disabilities such as ADHD, Autism, and Down Syndrome to gain confidence in their life journey. Her authentic self, filled with compassion, trustworthiness, grace, and light has helped her to gain a respectable place in the education sector; her involvement in public talks and seminars aims to raise a generation of people who know how to maximize the use of their brain through NeuroFeedback. Her vision is to unleash as many children’s brain potential as possible to be smarter, sharper and healthier with her unique Brain Activation Training Program.

Since 2007, she has worked as an Education Consultant in different local preschools and primary schools, helping them to develop dermatoglyphic, brain-based, and thinking-based curriculums.

She successfully completed the “Neuroscience Basic Practitioner Training Courses”, recognized by Research Institute of Neuropsychological Science (Korea), in 2011; and the Professional Brain Quotient Analysis Training, recognized by the Korea Research Institute of Jungshin Science, in 2013. She also is a Neurofeedback Master Trainer as certified by the Korea Research Institute of Jungshin Science in 2014. In year 2022, she also graduated with an honours degree in Psychology.

Clinical Psychologist

Mr. Dylan is a clinical psychologist, who is registered under Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC (CP)00378) and Malaysia Society of Clinical Psychology (MSCP, CP5-0043). He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stony Brook University and completed his Master of Clinical Psychology from USM-UPSI.

While his primary expertise lies in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), he also incorporates modalities like Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Play Therapy to cater to individual needs effectively. With past working experience in NGO, hospital, and rehabilitation settings, Dylan has worked with a wide range of cases, including autism, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), specific learning disorders (SLD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), mood disorders, and psychotic disorders.

His clinical interests include adult cases, such as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and relationship issues, while also providing parent management training for caregivers of children with developmental delays and play therapy for children with emotional and behavioral difficulties. He strongly advocates for early intervention, and he believes that there is no fulfillment and motivation in life without mental health. Thus, he has also been promoting mental health literacy by creating and sharing short psychoeducational contents on social media.

Music Therapist

Mr Nathan Ng Li Xian has earned with an honours degree in Music Therapy at Central Conservatory of Music Beijing. Being a certified music therapist, Nathan has served and collaborated with quite a few of hospitals /centers at Beijing.He has more than 5 years of music therapy clinical experiences, and mostly serving in children with different disabilities including autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disability, hearing impairment, cerebral palsy and children with emotional and behavior issues. Nathan will use music to help children and adult in recognizing and expressing their emotions in an appropriate ways thus decreasing self-harming behaviors. Meanwhile music therapy is also beneficial in improving communication sill, pre-academic and academic skills in special needs children. Besides that, he also worked closely with other therapists and medical staff to provide wholesome intervention plan for the clients.

Occupational Therapist

Ms Cindy Gan is qualified Occupational Therapist who graduation from Kaohsiung Medical University Degree of Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. She has 8 years’ experience in paediatric occupational therapy. She can provide evaluation, intervention, education, individualized or group therapy as well, she also has certified USC Sensory Integration Continuing Education Program. She enjoys working with children and she believes every child is unique in their own way. To enable children to participate as much as possible in activity daily of living.

Speech Therapist

Ms Sharmilah with a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from University Sains Malaysia, is a dedicated and skilled speech therapist with extensive clinical experience gained from internships at Hospital Queen Elizabeth Sabah, Hospital USM, and Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II. She has worked with both adult and pediatric cases, providing comprehensive evaluations, tailored treatment plans, and counseling for effective communicative strategies. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, she has developed impactful treatment goals and has experience in augmentative and alternative communication methods.

Notably, Ms Sharmilah has worked with the Child Intervention and Enrichment Centre (CIEC) at Hospital Mesra Bukit Padang, supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and ADHD.

KSL Champs Inclusion Founder & Principal

Ms Santhana is the founder & Principal of KSL Champs Inclusion Sdn. Bhd., dedicated to promoting inclusion in the classroom and society. Santhana works with children who have a variety of special educational needs and has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Psychology, a postgraduate degree in Education and Masters of Education. In order to support students with autism at school, she began working as a personal learning assistant in 2017. With years of experience in the industry, she has assisted parents and schools by offering one-on-one learning support and enabling shadow teachers to work with differently abled children. Santhana began teaching vocational skills to teens with special needs for several years in her career with the goal of creating career prospects and improving the students’ social and independent abilities. KSL Champs Inclusion Hub launched in 2023 with the goals of helping more differently abled children and teenagers and preparing them for life beyond school.

Children & Family Counsellor

Ms Su Woon Chui is an attentive and conscientious licensed Counselor exercising competency in broad subject matter counseling therapies, including grief, depression, anxiety, emotional, relationships, addiction, stress (with burnout) management and other personal issues. She is familiar in youth and adolescent development issues related to their social, behavioral, emotional and cognitive. She is committed to work collaboratively with clients to achieve therapeutic goals and increasing client satisfaction through effective communication and engagement.
